Mints were originally introduced to Pokémon Trainers in Pokémon Sword and Shield, also known as Generation VIII to change the Nature of a Pokémon. Natures boost and reduce certain stats, which comes in handy for competitive players and those looking to gain the winning edge in high-level Tera Raids.

Whilst Natures are a key part of any winning strategy, Mints have become a convenient item that allows trainers to avoid Pokémon Breeding for their desired Nature. There’s even items such as the "Ability Patch" iconAbility Patch to change a Pokémons ability to its hidden one, it really has never been easier to customise Pokémon.

Mint Locations and Effects

Mints can be found in various scenarios, here’s a quick list of some of the easiest:

We’ve gone into a bit more detail using the table below, including which statistics each mint effects. We know the Pokémon world can be full of new information and quite daunting, so we’ve inncluded map markers for some of the Mints we’ve found in the Paldea overworld aswell as Chansey Supply Store locations for those who just wants to buy a mint.

It’s also worth checking the trainer bag to check if some Mints have already been aquired by completing Five-Star and Six-Star Tera Raid Battles. There’s a 10% - 15% chance of a Tera Raid Pokémon dropping a mint in these tiers so it’s worth checking, although we wouldn’t suggest farming raids just for mints however.
