What Do EV Reducing Berries Do?¶

EV reducing berries can be given to your Pokemon to lower a stat by 10 EVs. This can be used to reset your Pokemon and start EV training fresh with them. Each berry will also make the Pokemon you use it on gain friendship points.

Where to Get EV Reducing Berries¶

EV reducing berries can be obtained through four different means in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.

• Random Item Spawns
• The Auction House
• Emotional Spectrum Practice
• Tera Raids

Berries in the wild are represented by sparkling spots on the ground. Several items can spawn as these sparkling spots, which can make finding berries this way a bit challenging. Tera Raids are also a bit random, making auctions and ESP the best way to obtain the items.

Fastest Way to Farm EV Berries¶

If you are looking to get a lot of EV reducing berries fast, then you are going to need to do the Emotional Spectrum Practice or visit the Auction House. If you don’t have a lot of money, then ESP is the best way to go. If you have made yourself a small fortune, then you are going to want to use the Auction House as they sell lots of EV reducing berries. In fact, you can get 22 of one type of EV reducing berries in a lot. Just remember that the bidding goes quite high, and you will end up spending thousands of Poke Dollars to win.

Every EV Reducing Berry in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet¶

There are a total of six different types of EV reducing berries in the game, one for each of the six stats.
