What is Iron Treads?

Iron Treads is a Violet exclusive Paradox Pokémon found in Area Zero. Paradox Pokémon are Pokémon that are exclusive to the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game. They resemble pre-existing Pokémon but have different move sets and types. Scarlet Paradox Pokémon are Ancient whilst Violet’s are futuristic. You will have also seen Iron Treads when you battled The Quaking Earth Titan during the Path of Legends story.

You will only be able to capture Paradox Pokémon once you’ve got access to Area Zero - the crater at the center of the Paldea Region. You’ll have access to this area once you’ve completed the three story paths:

Once you’ve finished the story quest in Area Zero, you’ll also be able to return at any time by fast travelling to the Zero Gate.

How to Find & Catch Iron Treads

In order to catch an Iron Treads Paradox Pokémon, you’ll want to head into the cave area in Area Zero. The cave entrance is by Research Station No. 3. Inside the cave, you’ll find loads of Iron Treads around the path. Additionally, you’ll find lots of Iron Bundles and a few Iron Jugulis near the ground floor area.
