Best Tinkaton Tera Raid Build

By
Shane Williams

Find the best Tinkaton Raid Build alongside other Tera Raids strategies are a large part of the post-game. Due to the difficulty of trying to complete Tera Raids Offline and Online, our Tinkaton Raid build will make life easier due to it’s unique Fairy and Steel dual typing.

You can find a TinkaTink at some of the Ruins

Having a decent Tinkaton raid build is going to pay off in buckets. For those delving into the world of Tera Raids and have reached the point of taking on the challenging 5 and 6 Star Tera Raids, you may realize just how much more strategy comes into play. More importantly, you may notice that clearing these Offline with the AI is incredibly challenging, to the point of almost impossible. Even Online can be challenging if your teammates choose Pokémon that are not ideal for the battle.

How to Grab A Tinkaton Raid build

You’ll have to evolve Tinkatink into Tinkaton before working on a best Tinkaton Raid build as it can’t be caught out in the open world. Tinkatink can be found roaming around certain Ruins throughout the Paldea Region, but you’ll have a higher chance of finding one by looking near the ruins in South Province (Area Two).

Tinkatink is extremely weak to Fire Fire and Ground Ground Type Pokemon and will take 2x damage from them, so you want to use those Pokemon Types which are slightly above its level to lower its health before attempting to catch it. In order to evolve Tinkatink you’ll need to level it up to 38 which you can find out how to do so here: Tinkatink Leveling Guide.

For those who are hitting five and six-star Tera Raids, Tinkaton can be found with random typings and elevated Individual Values. Long story short, players can find a best Tinkaton Raid build pre-made, although we’d go with a Fairy Tera Typing to make the most of it.

The Best Tinkaton Raid Build

Now that you have Tinkaton , what is it about this Pokémon that has the Pokémon community go wild for him? These are main moves you’ll want to make note of:

Move How To Teach
Gigaton Hammer Tinkaton will learn Gigaton Hammer when it evolves from Tinkatuff.
"Play Rough" iconPlay Rough "Play Rough" iconPlay Rough is an attack that can be taught to Tinkaton by taking it up to Level 35.
"Swords Dance" iconSwords Dance "Swords Dance" iconSwords Dance is a TM you can find out in the open-world. It can be found in several locations, but the easiest place to find it in Tagtree Thicket or West Province Area One.
Ice Hammer Tinkaton can’t learn Ice Hammer via leveling up or via TM. Visit the Delibird Presents Store in Cascarrafa City and purchase the "Mirror Herb" iconMirror Herb for 30,000 Poke Dollars. Then catch a "Crabominable" IconCrabominable with the move Ice Hammer, which can be found in East Province Area 2.

Once you’ve done that, remove all the Pokemon from your Team aside from Tinkaton and "Crabominable" IconCrabominable then remove one attack from Tinkaton, so it has one slot free. Finally, participate in a picnic and your Tinkaton Raid build should automatically learn Ice Hammer.|

Gigaton Hammer is a Steel-type Move which simply deals lots of Damage. Play Rough is a Fairy-type move that inflicts damage and has a chance to lower the target’s Attack stat by 1 stage. Swords Dance is a Normal-type move that will sharply raise the user’s Attack stat. Ice Hammer is a Normal-type move that will reduce the opponents speed by one stage.

You’ll want to begin the battle with "Swords Dance" iconSwords Dance to increase your Attack State, then follow it up with Ice Hammer to reduce the opponents Speed Stat which means you’ll get more turns. Next up, you’ll want to use "Play Rough" iconPlay Rough to lower their attack stat before using Gigaton Hammer to defeat them.
