Finding out how to get Sewaddle, Swadloon and Leavanny in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask is easier than trainers think once they know where to look. We’ll cover how to catch each one in the wild and how to evolve Sewaddle and Swadloon to get Leavanny alongside the best competitive build for it. Let’s get into it.
How To Get Sewaddle¶
Trainers only need to travel to one location to catch Sewaddle, Swadloon and Leavanny. Head over to Mossfell Confluence in the Southwest corner of Kitakami to kick things off. Sewaddle are quite common, but hard to spot due to their size, so make sure to look slowly. Trainers should be able to catch one with a Quick Ball with no issues.
How To Get And Evolve Swadloon¶
Swadloon can also be found in the wild at Mossfield Confluence, although they spawn less frequently as Sewaddle. For those looking to just evolve Sewaddle, it just requires leveling up by one to kick off the evolution process.
How To Get Leavanny¶
Leavanny can also be caught in the same location, although it spawns less than Swadloon. Thinking of using Leavanny competitively? It’s going to be a good idea to max out Swadloons friendship then level it up once to evolve, purely just for the stat increases and other friendship benefits. A Soothe Bell will speed up the process, which can be purchased for $5,000 from Delibird Presents.
Best Competitive Build For Leavanny¶
Stat | Description |
---|---|
Level | 100 |
Tera Type | Grass |
Nature | Adamant |
Ability | Overcoat |
Held Item | Life Orb |
Moveset | Camouflage, Knock Off, Leaf Blade and Return |
Base Stats | 75 HP |
EVs | 252 Attack, HP: 4 and Speed: 252 |
IVs | HP: 31, Attack: 31, Defense: 0, Sp. Atk: 31 Sp. Def. 31 and Speed: 31 |
Leavanny can benefit from a strong normal-type STAB providing it’s raised with max happiness. Camouflage changes it’s typing to Normal, which allows the STAB with Return and is boosted by Life Orb and high Attack stats. The rest of this build covers its weaknesses and allows a bail out of Camouflage with it’s tera typing being grass, which unlocks STAB for Leaf Blade should a battle call for it. Knock Off covers Ghost and Psychic opponents too, giving Leavanny some good coverage and effective moves out of the gate with speed being on its side also.
We’ve got hundreds of Pokémon locations already on our Kitakami Region Map, but why not check out all of the New and Returning Pokémon for the DLC too and complete the Kitakami Pokédex?
