What Is Mochi?

Mochi is a usable item given out as a reward when trainers meet certain conditions in the minigame Ogre Oustin’! near Kitakami Hall. Mochi resets a Pokémon’s EVs, with different types and effects to customize a Pokémon’s stats

All Mochi Types And Effects

Here’s a breakdown of every Mochi type and its corresponding effect to help trainers customize a Pokémon’s EVs (Effort Values):

Mochi Type Effect
"Clever Mochi" iconClever Mochi Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon’s Special Defense stat.
"Fresh-Start Mochi" iconFresh-Start Mochi Resets all of a Pokemon’s EVs to 0.
"Genius Mochi" iconGenius Mochi Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon’s Special Attack stat.
"Health Mochi" iconHealth Mochi Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon’s HP stat.
"Muscle Mochi" iconMuscle Mochi Adds 10 EVs for a Pokemon’s Attack stat.

There’s a Mochi for every occasion, even one to completely reset a Pokémons EVs. This comes in very handy for rebuilding already trained Pokémon for a new competitive team strategy or a Tera Raid build. This is a great quality of life improvement to generation nine, with trainers previously relying on berries that knock down 10 EV points per stat at a time. Here’s a breakdown of these berries that can be found at the Porto Marinada Auction, in Gym Challenge Rerun reward and Tera Raid Battle Rewards:
