Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Cortondo Trade: Snom

By
Jessica Dillon

If you want to get some exclusive Pokemon, then there’s no better place to look than in-game trades in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. There are three trade NPCs located across the Paldea region, each that offers you some hard-to-pass-up deals. The very first trade NPC you will encounter is located in Cortondo, the home of the bug-type gym. Below we go over everything you need to know about how to complete this trade, including where to find the elusive fairy-type Flabebe.

Trade NPC in Cortondo.

Where to Find The Trade NPC in Cortondo

The NPC that you will need to trade with to get "Snom" IconSnom is located in front of the Pokemon battlefield, next to the gym, down Cortondo’s main street. If you stand near him long enough, a text bubble that says Flebebe will pop up above his head.

Where to Find a Flabebe

A group of Flabebe in South Zone Four.

To get Snom you will need to hunt down a Flabebe. Luckily, this Pokemon can be found south of Cortondo in South Zone Four. They are located around small flower patches and are the smallest Pokemon in the game, making them incredibly easy to miss. The best way to find them is to up your fairy-type spawn rate by buying a Fruit Punch from Go-for-Broke-Grill.

Snom’s Stats

Pokemon Typing: Bug/Ice

You will receive a male Snom at level 10 regardless of what level the Flabebe you traded is. He will have a rash nature, an ice Tera Type, and will not come holding any items. In addition, Snom will only know two moves.

This is a good trade as he is effective against Pokemon at the Cortondo gym, and this is one of the easiest ways to get an ice-type early on in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.

Can You Catch Snom in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet?

Yes, you can catch Snom in the wild once you get to the later parts of the game. You won’t be able to find Snom again until you reach the northern zone of the map, which has Pokemon in their late-30s and 40s. This makes it impossible to catch early on, and even if you did manage to nab one, it’s not going to obey you in the early game.
