This is a walkthrough for Route 221, including what Pokémon you can encounter and items you can find.

Route 221 is a somewhat long horizontal path, lined with trees, located near the south-west corner of Sinnoh. It’s home to Ramanas Park, although that’s closed off to visitors until the postgame. To get here, trainers must go through Route 219 and Route 220.

Halfway across Route 221, there’s a house towards the north with a very demanding old man. He’ll ask to see a Pokémon of a certain Level, between 1 and 100. The number he chooses is random and changes each day.
If you bring him a Pokemon with the Level he wants, he’ll give you a Black Belt the first time, an Expert Belt the second time and a Focus Sash the third time. Afterwards, he’ll cycle through the same items.
