This is a walkthrough for the northern half of Route 212, including what Pokémon you can encounter and items you can find.
After visiting Solaceon Town, the reporters blocking the south-western gatehouse at Hearthome City will be gone. From there, you can enter Route 212, en route to Pastoria City.
If you check the map, you can also reach Pastoria City by heading south from Veilstone City, via Routes 214 and 213. It doesn’t matter which way you travel, although you should visit all the routes if you’ve got time.

Otherwise, if you speak to the trainers individually, you can fight them solo in Single Battles.
