Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

How to Beat Eterna City Gym

By
Staci Miller

Eterna City Gym is home of the Grass-type Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. However, before you face Gardenia, the Gym Leader, you’ll have to track down the other four trainers in the gym and battle them. None are optional!

Here’s where to find them, and which Pokémon they have.

Lass Caroline

(1 of 2) Go north towards the Gym Leader’s area, then west and south into the first dead end.

Lass Caroline is the first trainer you’ll find in the Eterna City Gym. Travel up the path as far north as you can then turn left, and then head south. You’ll find her standing behind a tree.

Her two Pokémon aren’t too hard to defeat if you have a Fire-type or Flying-type on your team, and can be gone with a one hit knockout if you’re over level 20. Watch out for "Roselia" IconRoselia’s Poison-type, which can affect your Pokémon if you use physical moves.

Aroma Lady Jenna

(1 of 2) Follow the westernmost path to the very end.

To find the next trainer, head back up the path you just took and turn left. Head down again, past the two rocks, and turn right to find Aroma Lady Jenna.

Aroma Lady Jenna’s Pokémon are at a lower level than the first trainer, but there are three of them. Still, they’re easy to take out with an appropriately leveled type advantage.

Aroma Lady Angela

(1 of 2) From the entrance, take the second path on the right.

To find Aroma Lady Angela, head back to the start and take the second path to the right. You’ll see some light-colored trees and behind them is the third trainer to fight.

She only has one Pokémon, which should mean this fight isn’t too strenuous.

Beauty Lindsay

(1 of 2) Check the very end of the easternmost path.

For the final trainer, head as far right as you can from the entrance of the gym. Go as far north as you can go, to the furthest part of the gym away from the entrance.

Turn left towards the flowers to face the final fight. Like the third trainer, Beauty Lindsay only has one Pokémon so you shouldn’t have too much trouble with this fight.
