Jubilife City (Second Visit)

By
Vincent Lau

This page covers your second visit to Jubilife City in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP).

After obtaining the Coal Badge from Roark, there will be some commotion at the north exit of Jubilife City. Professor Rowan and his assistant (Lucas or Dawn) will be harrassed by Team Galactic Grunts. Time for you to step up, then.

You’ll fight a pair of Team Galactic Grunts alongside the Professor’s assistant in a Multi Battle (a Double Battle with 4 participants).

There’s not much to it really, since the odds are heavily stacked in your favor. The Professor’s assistant has a much higher Level Pokémon than the Grunts, nevermind you can use a full party of 6. But we doubt you’ll need anything beyond your first Pokémon.

After shooing away the Grunts, the Professor and his assistant will leave. Before you can move again, someone else will come on over: Bede, who reveals herself as the manager of the Pokémon Box system in Sinnoh.

From now on, you can access your Pokémon Boxes at any time by opening the Pokémon menu from the X menu, then pressing the R button.

Well, actually there are occasions when you cannot acces the Pokémon Box Link: inside gyms and similar challenges. (Otherwise it would be way too easy…)

Afterwards, continue north towards Route 204 to continue your adventure. If you don’t want to wait, you could also visit the Jubilife TV Building to unlock Mystery Gifts early.
