Overview

Rolling Fields is the first zone you’ll encounter in the Wild Area and as such, it’s fairly open. You’ll find an Ingredient Seller, many Strong Pokémon starting with "Onix" IconOnix near the entrance and there are nine Pokémon dens that you can battle against Dynamax Pokémon. Additionally, you’ll be near the Meetup Spot where you can get healed for free and access the shop to stock up on items should you need to. It’s a good idea to spend a little time here when you first reach the Wild Area to get familiar with it but the best time to fully explore the area is after earning the Water Badge, that way you’ll be able to capture a lot of the Strong Pokémon in the area.

Ingredient Seller

Head along the path to the north and search the eastern tree to find the Ingredient Seller.

You’ll find the Ingredient Seller by heading north along the dirt path from the entrance and then standing near the tree to the east as you approach the lake. There is no set items that he sells, instead he will sell all the Ingredients available but change his selection of six every day.

Welcome to our comprehensive strategy guide for Pokémon: Sword and Shield, the latest entries in the Pokémon video game franchise. Our guide also incorporates all the DLC, including the Isle of Armor and brand new Crown Tundra DLC.

In Sword and Shield, you explore the Galar region, based on the United Kingdom, alongside rivals Hop, Bede and Marnie, with the aim to dethrone the Pokémon League Champion.

The games introduce several new features such as Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, functions that increase size and change forms of certain Pokémon; the Wild Area, a large open world with free camera movement; and raids with co-op battling. They also reintroduce features previously seen in Sun and Moon and Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, such as regional variants and roaming Pokémon depicted in the overworld.
