Pokémon: Sword & Shield

Overview

Bridge Field is one of the more important Zones of the Wild Area as you’ll find some useful features here. To the far east of the Zone, you’ll find the Nursery where you can take Pokémon to be bred in exchange for possible Eggs. This also acts as a fast travel spot so it’s ideal for if you want to explore the northern part of the Wild Area without having to trek through the southern area first. A little to the west of them however are another intriguing duo, the Digging Duo who will unearth items in exchange for Watts. You’ll also find a total of four Berry Trees and a whopping nine Pokémon Dens to seek out.

Digging Duo

You’ll find the Digging Duo just before you reach the Pokémon Nursery.

As mentioned above, you’ll find these two brothers to the west of the Nursery and each brother has a different set of items they can dig up for you. The Skill brother (located to the left of the two) will dig up less but rarer items while the Stamina brother (to the right) will dig up more in one go but of less rarity. You can score all manner of useful items here such as Fossils or Evolution stones so should you find yourself with excess Watts, pay the brothers a visit.

Welcome to our comprehensive strategy guide for Pokémon: Sword and Shield, the latest entries in the Pokémon video game franchise. Our guide also incorporates all the DLC, including the Isle of Armor and brand new Crown Tundra DLC.

In Sword and Shield, you explore the Galar region, based on the United Kingdom, alongside rivals Hop, Bede and Marnie, with the aim to dethrone the Pokémon League Champion.

The games introduce several new features such as Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, functions that increase size and change forms of certain Pokémon; the Wild Area, a large open world with free camera movement; and raids with co-op battling. They also reintroduce features previously seen in Sun and Moon and Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, such as regional variants and roaming Pokémon depicted in the overworld.
