Items

This move uses the user’s Special Attack stat, but it targets the opponent’s Defense stat.

Item Location
Heat Rock Arriving from Courageous Cavern, head past the tall grass along the left. Next to a tree on the left.
TR25 Psyshock From the cavern entrance, enter the ocean from the right. Then swim over to the isolated shore to the right of the entrance. Next to a pair of fallen logs.
Sea Incense Swim over to the island in the centre of the lagoon. Head towards the inner, grassy part of the island, then travel clock-wise. Next to some pebbles along the rocky wall, somewhat near the last Pokémon Den.

Berry Trees

Item Location
Qualot Berry After arriving on the central island, go up the slope from the shore, then turn right.

Hidden Items

Feed this to Applin to evolve it into Appletun. To evolve it into Flapple, you’ll need a Tart Apple instead.

Item Location
Tiny Mushroom, Galarica Twig etc. Arriving from Courageous Cavern, head past the tall grass along the left. Near a tree on the left. To the right of the Heat Rock.
Pearl, Soft Sand etc. From the Courageous Cavern entrance, head towards the shoreline at the far end. In the sand, near the waves along the right side, a few paces away from the grassy part.
Pearl String In the middle of the sand, at the far shoreline. Stand at the edge of the grass and the sand, with the cavern directly opposite you. Then run away from the cavern for 7 seconds or so. Unless raining, there may be a "Grapploct" IconGrapploct nearby. [Doesn’t always spawn.]
Stardust, Soft Sand etc. In the middle of the sand, at the far shoreline. Stand next to the tree that’s past the tall grass. Position yourself so your back is facing the tree and you’re looking directly south (away from Courageous Cavern). Then run forward for 8 or 9 seconds. Unless raining, there may be another "Grapploct" IconGrapploct nearby.
Rare Candy From the cavern entrance, enter the ocean from the right. Then swim over to the isolated shore to the right of the entrance. Head for the pair of fallen logs and stand where they meet, nearer the ocean (where TR25 is or was). Now turn so you’re facing the tree opposite the cavern entrance. Then go forward 3 or 4 paces and search the sand there. [Doesn’t always spawn.]
Dive Ball, Star Piece etc. From the pair of logs, face the cliff wall. Stand next to the tip of the log on the right. Then turn towards where you think the Courageous Cavern entrance is (maybe a teensy bit more left than that). Now go forward a few paces and search the sand around here.
Dive Ball Right next to the cliff wall, a few paces away from the water on the right (when standing with the Courageous Cavern entrance on your right).
Soft Sand, Revive etc. From the pair of logs, turn so the ocean is on your left. From the tip of the logs, go forward a few paces and check out the sand there. It’s somewhat near the cliff wall.
Big Pearl, Pearl etc. Swim over to the island in the centre of the lagoon. When you arrive on the shore, it’s in the sand halfway across the shore and a bit to the right (with the ocean behind you).
Soft Sand, Big Pearl etc. Towards the far left of the shore on the central island (with the ocean behind you). It’s right where the sand meets the raised land, a few paces away from the waves.
Pearl, Big Pearl etc. Towards the far right of the shore on the central island (with the ocean behind you). A few paces before reaching the Pokémon Den.
Sweet/Tart Apple Next to tree near the final Pokémon Den. On left side if facing Courageous Cavern.
Fancy Apple, Sweet/Tart Apple etc. Next to tree near the final Pokémon Den. On right side if facing Courageous Cavern.
Honey Behind the rocky terrain in the middle of the central island. In the direction of Courageous Cavern, next to a red flowerbed.

Welcome to our comprehensive strategy guide for Pokémon: Sword and Shield, the latest entries in the Pokémon video game franchise. Our guide also incorporates all the DLC, including the Isle of Armor and brand new Crown Tundra DLC.

In Sword and Shield, you explore the Galar region, based on the United Kingdom, alongside rivals Hop, Bede and Marnie, with the aim to dethrone the Pokémon League Champion.

The games introduce several new features such as Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing, functions that increase size and change forms of certain Pokémon; the Wild Area, a large open world with free camera movement; and raids with co-op battling. They also reintroduce features previously seen in Sun and Moon and Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, such as regional variants and roaming Pokémon depicted in the overworld.
