This content is for the players who are really pushing their character as far as it can go in a season. If you want to know more on how to reach those final 20 levels, and beat the challenges, read on for our Destroyer Season journey chapter guide.

Challenge Objective
Mephisto’s Bane Purify 10,000 Seeds of Hatred
Heads Of The Snake Kill 5 Helltide Commanders
The Spoils of Hell Open 3 Tortured Gifts of Mysteries.
Shattered Fiends Kill 15 World bosses in World Tier 4 (Torment)
Blessed Mother Departed Kill the Echo of Lilith in Archives of Issalia on Torment
Wrath’s Dying Breath Defeat the Echo of Varshan on World Tier 4 (Tormented)
Anointed Immortal Reach Level 100
Lord of Nightmares Complete a Tier 43 Nightmare Dungeon

Rewards:

  • Wrathful - Player Title
  • Heart - Player Title
  • Seventh Journey Cache - Contains Jewelry, end game resources, and scrolls of Amnesia, which provide a free respec to your Paragon and Skill Tree (saves several million gold if you’re max paragon).

To bag these rewards, you will need to complete six of these objectives. However, there’s no clear victors here. The ones we don’t recommend the most are the World boss one, as that is a challenge depending on timezones. But, if you can reliably do that for the hours you play, then it should be a fairly achievable challenge to do over a two-week period. The other challenge you should probably skip is the Uber Lilith fight. Uber Lilith is a level 100 boss, which is one the hardest fights in the game. It’s to the point some people won’t clear it, unlike the few absolute mega builds you’ve seen like the Bone Spear Necro with the Invuln cheese. This is one to skip just for the chapter completion’s sake. But, if you have a really good build, then, it’s something to go for.

It does mean for the first time we are recommending you do a PvP Activity. Purifying 10,000 seeds over the course of a few small sessions of PvP is not too hard. But, if you get caught by active PvP players, bear in mind not many of those exist, then it can be frustrating. You can test the waters with that quest, and if you find little activity from other players, then it could be a simple enough challenge to do.

Then there’s level 100, this could take time to grind, but it is something you’re going to hit if you desire to get to max level this season anyway, it just delays your rewards.

Nightmare Dungeons will be a prominent feature of your end-game activities, and you’ll naturally push into Tier 43 Nightmare Dungeons as you go through WT4. Image via Blizzard Entertainment.

Okay, now onto the missions you can complete. Completing a Tier 43 Nightmare is not so much of a challenge. Blizzard massively nerfed the difficulty of Nightmare Dungeons, stating that a level 100 in season 1 should feel something like a level 70 from Season 0. This effect cascades further down the Nightmare Dungeon tiers, and so, a level 43 is not that challenging, especially if you get better gear the further into World Tier 4 you progress.

In other achievable content is the Helltide Commanders. Helltide Commanders are bosses that can spawn at the end of portal invasion events during active Helltides. You may also get lucky and find Helltide Commanders spawning from the Portal events. However, some of the more troubling parts of these events are the roaming world boss like threats, such as The Helltide Assassin, which is level 73 on World Tier 3. So, doing these on World Tier 4 could be a challenge if you have not got a party, or you engage it in an area that is occupied with lots of elites, environmental effects, or mobs. So, look for a group if you need to and beat those bosses down. They are easier to identify as they have the boss icon on the minimap when you get close to them.

Speaking of Helltides, grabbing three Helltide Mystery chests are fairly easier. You will likely already have this beaten off the list, as the Mystery Chests yield the best rewards outside of farming specific gear slots. If you still need help finding these, you can use our Helltide Mystery Chest map to find the active Helltides. Bear in mind you can only have 2 per hour, and the spawns change on the hour, and they cost 250 "Aberrant Cinder" iconAberrant Cinders to open.

For those still happy with the seasonal content, its time to fight the Tormented version of Varshan. The season boss is a level 80 boss, so , it should be something you can achieve after a short time in World Tier 4. If you need help fighting the boss, we have an Echo of Varshan Guide, which goes through the few tactics it has, but can defeat you if you don’t respect them. Remember, you need to unlock the Tormented Invoker of Varshan, which you get after beating the boss on World Tier 3 using a Foul Invoker.

With that said, you should now be done with the Diablo 4 Season journey, and eventually complete the Destroyer Chapter of the Season Journey. This one takes a while, but, with it completed, you will likely be getting closer and closer to finish that battle pass because of it.
