Diablo IV

How To Redeem An Early Access Code

By
Paul McNally

If you have managed to get your hands on an Early Access code for the Diablo IV Open Beta, either by pre-purchasing the game or via one of the many promotions that have been available, then you still have to redeem the code in order to assign the Open Beta to your account, regardless of your platform of choice to play on.

The manner you redeem the code will not change, but how access works does depend on whether you are playing on PC or console.

So let’s take a look at what you need to do in order to get your Battle.net account linked up and playing nicely so you are ready to go when the Open Beta weekends finally open up.

If you want to be ready to jump into the Diablo IV Open Beta at the beginning, make sure you have linked your Battle.net account.

Pre-Purchased Early Access Diablo IV Open Beta

The good news is if you are a Diablo IV player who has pre-purchased the game, Early Access to the beta will already be linked to the Battle.net account and platform you bought the game on. You should not need to do anything else in order to be able to jump in and play as soon as the Open Beta goes live.

How to Redeem An Early Access Beta Code

If you have been given an Early Access Open Beta Code through one of the various promotions that have been running, you will need to link it to your Battle.net account in order to be able to play the game when it goes live.

We assume you probably already have a Battle.net account, but if not you will need to go ahead and make one before you can continue.

You can redeem any Diablo IV Early Access beta codes from this site.

Head to diablo.com/beta and log in (or create an account if you need to) to your Battle.net account. From here you will need to enter your code into the box and select your region and platform before then clicking the Redeem button.

You should then get a confirmation page showing that all has gone well.

You should see this screen once you have successfully redeemed your code.

If you are a PC player you don’t need to do anything else - your account will have access to the Beta from that point on.

Console players have an extra hoop to jump through as you will then receive a platform-specific code to your battle.net account email that will allow you to add the beta version to your library, so you need to make sure you have access to that email account, and also to keep an eye on your spam, just in case.
