The second quest of the Tenets of Depravity quest chain in Vessel of Hatred is the “An End to Suffering” quest. These quest are part of a quest chain that need to be complete for the post-story quest, Deeds of a Champion. Read on to find out what you need to do complete it.

Return to Faith’s Torch¶
This quest is immediately accepted after finishing Tenets of Depravity: Sacrament of the Faithless. If you didn’t accept this at the time, you can pick it up from Prava, who can be found up the alleyway to the left of the building next to the Stable Master in Gea Kul.
Prava will send you back to the Faith’s Torch camp in Seven Stones to look for Captain Kharov, the man who was with Dmitriy in the previous quest. Teleport to Kurast Docks, follow the paths west/southwest into Seven Stones, and go north when you enter it. The camp will be in the northeast corner of the region.
At Faith’s Torch, the objective will update to inspect the Knight’s corpse. You can find it hanging of the spikes near the entrance to the camp, on the right. Inspect the corpse, and you’ll hear screaming nearby.

Investigate the Screaming¶
Enter the Faith’s Torch: Knight Command Quarter that opened up to your right and head inside. Follow the short linear path to find the Arch-Judicator condemning a man of the pyre. As you try to stop them, the pyre will get lit, and you’ll have to defeat the Knights. This isn’t a difficult fight as long as you keep moving and use your ultimate. Once they’re defeated, speak to the man on fire who happens to be Dmitriy.

He obviously doesn’t have long left, but he’ll tell you to head to the Seared Revelation Camp and search for Marzhan the Scribe who will grant you an audience with Captain Kharov. This will be his last words before he enters eternal slumber. Poor Dmitriy. This concludes the short quest, and you’ll be given the Tenets of Depravity: Companion to Madness quest immediately.
