Diablo IV

Hold Your Ground

By
Paul McNally

The "Hold Your Ground" iconHold Your Ground is not an event packed with nuances and tricks - rather it is an all out hack ‘n’ slash bloodbath and a sight to behold while it is at it.

How To Complete Diablo IV Hold Your Ground Event

(1 of 4) Our Hold Your Ground Event involved us having to scale to the top of a tower to where it was taking place

While not on the difficulty scale of the World Boss events, it is still an event where you will need to take a modicum of care not to get killed as a lot of enemies will arrive all at ones.

The aim of the event is to survive three waves of enemy attack, each increasing in intensity - it is for this reason that it is handy if there are a few extra players in the vicinity as things can get quite hectic, quite quickly.

The first wave should not come close to overwhelming you as long as you have your finger on the healing button at all times. We did the event as a Barbarian, who obviously as a tank has decent heath points and armor, as well as a few special moves that can force back a horde of enemies, causing them damage at the same time.

The second wave is obviously larger, as is the third again, and we are not sure how we would have coped here as a solo player. As it was, there was enough of us to win the day without it ever really being in doubt.

Estimated time to complete event: Three Minutes

What Are Events In Diablo IV?

When you make your way to an event area on the map (the red circle that appears indicates something is about take place) you will get a pop up telling you which randomly generated event you are about to come up against.

It is not possible to work out what events are where, but once you enter the correct zone the information you need will be presented to you and you can choose whether to proceed or about turn and run for your life.
