How To Get The Wolf Pet

By
Paul McNally

We have already broken down what all the beta rewards and how to get them in an earlier page, but there is no doubt the most desirable of gifts from playing the open beta is definitely the wolf pet.

Who wouldn’t want a baby wolf as a tag-along friend? Sure when it grows up it will be a bit more of a handful, but we can deal with that when it happens. There is no better way to show future generations of Diablo IV players that you were there from the very beginning by carrying your own little wolf cub around on your back.

So, if that is the reason that brought you here, let’s quickly recap how to adopt our little furry friend.

Ah a little cute baby wolf can be yours for simply comleting one simple task in the Open beta of Diablo IV

How To Get The Wolf Pet In Diablo IV

Getting your paws on the wolf pet in Diablo IV is going to require some work on your part. It’s not the reward for a specific quest line, or something you will stumble across in a forest, alone after it’s parents have abandoned it. No, there is a little bit of Beta grind in your future for the next couple of weekends.

To get the wolf pet and keep it forever you will need to get a single character to level 20 over the course of the two beta weekends. That’s not two characters to level 10 each, but one character.

This may leave you with a slight dilemma if you have a bit of restricted play time during the beta, as you may have to forsake trying out some of the other available classes in order to get the reward. Getting to level 20 is going to take you a few hours at minimum so if time is limited you might need to choose whether you really want the cosmetic or not.

When Do You Get The Wolf Pet In Diablo IV

Even though you qualify for the reward upon hitting level 20 with a single character in the beta, you won’t get the wolf pet until the game launches in June. Then you will find it in your inventory.

Will My Progress Carry On To Diablo IV From The Beta?

At this stage it looks as though we can expect a full wipe of progress once the Open Beta concludes, meaning that extra grind for rewards will be exactly that with no benefit to you once we get to Diablo IV’s full release.
