Diablo IV

Tenets of Depravity: Sacrament of the Faithless Guide

By
Matt Chard

Four side quests in the Vessel of Hatred expansion of Diablo IV must be completed for the final post-story quest, Deeds of a Champion. These can be completed any time during the expansion, but if you haven’t touched them until the end, the post-story quest will direct you to them anyway. Read on to find out where you can accept the Tenets of Depravity: Sacrament of the Faithless quest, and how to complete it.

Speaking to the Guard in Upper Kurast will begin the Sacrament of the Faithless Quest.

Tenets of Depravity: Sacrament of the Faithless Location

This quest is accepted in Upper Kurast, southeast of the Kurast Bazaar Waypoint. From the Waypoint, head southeast until you reach the Kurast Undercity Spirit Brazier. Continue southeast around the garden area to find a guard tending to someone in pain by the southeastern wall. You’ll find out the Burned Knights did this, and the Guard will mention Faith’s Torch Camp in Seven Stones. Jump on your mount, and head to Seven Stones.

(1 of 2) From the Waypoint, head southeast into Upper Kurast.

From the Waypoint, head southeast into Upper Kurast. (left), Here, you’ll find a guard tending to an injured citizen. Speak to them to start the quest. (right)

Faith’s Torch Location

Either teleport to the Kurast Docks or Samuk Waypoints, as the distance is approximately the same, although it’s easier to reach the camp from Kurast Docks. From Kurast Docks, leave via the western exit, and follow the paths southwest until you reach Seven Stones. This will take you to the general location of the camp, so all you need to do now is find it. Faith’s Torch can be found in the northeast corner of Seven Stones, so head northwest and take the second path east to find the camp.

(1 of 2) From Kurast Docks, go southwest into Seven Stones. Now, head northwest and then east to find Faith’s Torch.

Speak with Priest Dmitriy

When you reach the camp, head further in to find poor Dmitriy in a pillory. Talk to him to find out how he has ended up in this situation and one of the Knights who has clearly lost his mind will break free of his cage, and you’ll have to defeat him. This shouldn’t cause you too many problems, just pop your ultimate and go to town on him, and he’ll soon be defeated. After, talk to Dmitriy to find out what’s going on.

He’ll mention that there is a report on the nearby table and that you should take it to his superiors in Gea Kul. You can ask if he wants you to free him, but he’ll tell you that he’ll be free soon enough. Pick up the report of the table to the southwest, next to the tent, and then head to Gea Kul.

(1 of 3) Speak to Dmitriy in the Pillory.

Hand Over the Report

In Gea Kul, you’re looking for a church. From the Waypoint, head north and take the alleyway left of the building next to the Stable Master. At the end, you’ll meet Prava who’ll let you through. Talk to Prava and give her the message from Dmitriy.

(1 of 3) Teleport to Gea Kul and head north.

The contents of the message will leave Prava shocked, and she’ll tell you that what’s going on must be stopped. This will end the quest and immediately give you the follow-up quest, Tenets of Depravity: An End to Suffering.
