For all your shopping needs, there’s the Bazaar, located in the heart of Skyloft.

Gear Shop

Run by Rupin, a shrewd salesman. You can purchase various shields, ammo and upgrades here.

Item Check

Run by Peatrice, whose hobby is watching dust fall. You can withdraw and deposit items that can be assigned to your Adventure Pouch. If you obtain a new item while your pouch is full, it will be automatically sent here.

Scrap Shop

Run by Gondo, who’s apt at tinkering with machines. Come here to upgrade your equipment.

You’ll also need to visit Gondo during the Light Tower quest.

Fortune Teller

Run by Sparrot, a fellow with big, sparkling eyes. By paying a nomimal fee of 10 rupees, he will give advice for how to progress or the whereabouts of treasures found in each region/from monsters.

After completing his sidequest, he’ll cut his fee by half.

Potion Shop

Run by Luv, a kindly woman. If you have an Empty Bottle, you can buy useful potions here. The first time Link visits, Luv will give him a free Empty Bottle, to incentivize further shopping.

Run by Bertie, Luv’s other half. He will infuse Potions bought from his wife’s shop, improving their effects.

Towards the south-west corner, there’s a place where folks gather to eat. Sometimes, you can hear interesting gossip from them, related to various sidequests. Speaking of…

Sidequests

Missing Baby Rattle

(1 of 2) During the day, Bertie will be lost in thought.

During the day, Bertie will be lost in thought. (left), After speaking to him, visit him again when he’s at home during the night. (right)

When you’ve obtained the Clawshots, Bertie will divulge a problem that he’s literally losing sleep over: his baby’s rattle has gone missing. The rattle can be found on a tower east from the Bazaar, although Link will need to be smart to get it. Completing this task yields 5 Gratitude Crystals and some much needed sleep for Bertie.

Peatrice’s Crush

Normally, Peatrice the Item Check lady is always bored whenever anyone drops off their stuff. However, if Link continues to visit her on separate days, she’ll warm up to him and eventually fall heads over heels for him. Should Link speak to her father at night, a sequence of events will trigger where he must make his choice. Either way, there’s 5 Gratitude Crystals up for grabs.
