Skyward Sword is unique for being one of the pioneering examples of a full-length game experience designed with motion-controls in mind.
Whether you’re playing on the Nintendo Wii or Switch, you can pretend you’re swinging a sword in real life and it’ll be reflected in the game, more or less.
Here, we’ll cover the basic controls.

How to Turn off Motion Controls¶
When you’re in control, press the + button to open the Inventory menu. Next, navigate to “Options”. From here, go to “Control Mode” and change it to “Button-only Mode”. You might also want to change motion controls for aiming and the camera to “Off”.
