The Great Tree is located near the center of Faron Woods. Once you’ve acquired the Water Dragon’s Scale, you can enter the tree via an underwater entrance from the south-east.

The Kikwi Hermit¶
After acquiring the Water Dragon’s Scale, Link can enter the Great Tree via an underwater entrance. By traveling both inside and outside the tree, Link is able to reach the tree’s top, where Yerbal, the Kikwi Hermit, is sleeping. Once he manages to wake up the hermit, he’ll learn a clue for reaching Lake Floria.

| Gold Rupee | After jumping onto the first swinging platform, turn left and swing the platform to reach the outer edge of the room. Follow the edge clock-wise to find a narrow tunnel near the north-west corner that leads further up. Above, use a Skyward Strike etc. to defeat the Quadro Baba, then jump across for this chest. Note: If you come here after the woods are flooded, the swinging platforms will be gone and you’ll need to spin-jump up to the ledge instead. |
