Quests

Rounding Up the Kikwi

During Link’s first visit to the Faron Woods, he’ll encounter the Kikwi, who have been scattered by the monsters roaming the woods.

The Kikwi Elder will give Link the Slingshot, if he agrees to find all the missing Kikwi.

Farore’s Silent Realm

After obtaining the Goddess Harp, Link returns to the Faron Woods to undergo one of the Goddess’s trials: Farore’s Silent Realm. Upon completion, Link receives the Water Dragon’s Scale.

With this new piece of equipment, Link is able to dive underwater and enter the base of the Great Tree. At the top, he stumbles upon a Kikwi hermit who teaches him how to enter Lake Floria.

Collecting Tadtones

On Link’s third visit to the Faron Woods, the entire woods has been flooded. By navigating to the interior of the Great Tree, Link learns that the flood was created by the Water Dragon to wash away the intruding monsters.

While he’s here, the Water Dragon prepares a special trial: to collect the numerous Tadtones within the flooded woods. In doing so, Link learns one of the segments of the Song of the Hero.
