The Hylian Shield is the best shield in the game–you may recognize it from Ocarina of Time. Not only is it indestructible, it can resist fire, electricity and curses.
You can claim the Hylian Shield from the Thunder Dragon’s Lightning Round in Lanayru Gorge. It’s available after defeating 8 boss fights in a row. Which sounds tough, but should be fairly doable.
