V Rising

How to Deal with Holy Radiation

By
Matt Chard

As you progress deeper in V Rising, you may go into areas that give you various debuffs if you stay in there too long. This page will explain to you what Holy Radiation is, and how you can manage it.

What is Holy Radiation

When you progress out of Farbane Woods, and head into the Dunley Farmlands. You’ll find a few places that give the Holy Radiation debuff when you’re within the area. This will drain your health each second until you run out of health, or leave the area.

These symbols on the pillars mean that Holy Radiation will be present in the area.

What does Holy Radiation do

As mentioned above, Holy Radiation will drain your health at approximately 10 health per second at 0 Holy resistance. This changes when you have more Holy Resistance. For example, at 50 Holy resistance, you can freely search the Dunley Monastery with no fear of taking any Holy Radiation.

How to negate Holy Radiation

The way to negate Holy Radiation is to not enter areas that have it! Joking aside, anything that grants Holy resistance from equipment to consumables and powers. The Holy Resistance Potion will give you 50 Holy resistance for 30 minutes. This’ll allow you to explore most places earlier on without the fear of taking damage over time. The only problem with that is to make them, you’ll need two scourgestones, and they’re not easy to come by early on.

Increasing your Holy Resistance

Your resistances can be found on the character screen, to the right of your equipment.

In the character screen accessed by tapping Tab-Filled, you’ll see the resistances to the right of your character. This will display all of your current resistances against each harmful effect such as Sun, Garlic, Holy, Fire, and Silver. By increasing your resistance to Holy, it’ll reduce damage taken from Holy attacks as well as negate damage from Holy Radiation. At 50 Holy resistance, you’ll take 25% less damage from Holy attacks, and negate up to 10 damage from Holy Radiation.

How to increase Holy Resistance

There are various methods to increase your resistance to Holy. One way is by using consumables for a temporary buff which can last up to 30 minutes. The other and more permanent solution is by equipping gear that comes with Holy Resistance + X. Below you can find a list of all the consumables and equipment that can help you stave off Holy Radiation.
