V Rising

Creating a Library Room

By
Shane Williams

There are many different room styles you can add into your castle and these will provide unique benefits to the base. Library Rooms will reduce the resources needed to craft items by 25%. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary steps to unlocking Paper Press and Library Flooring!

You can learn the Library Flooring Recipe at the Study.

In V Rising you can build different types of rooms which are dedicated to certain types of equipment and along with it comes certain types of bonuses, such as the amount of resources needed to craft scrolls in the Paper Press. However, you’ll need to unlock the Library Flooring to do this.

Unlocking The Library Flooring Room

Your first steps to acquiring the Library Flooring is to unlock and build a Study which is done by defeating the Level 47 V Blood boss, Maja the Dark Savant. Build the Study which requires 12 Wooden Planks and 12 Copper Ingots, then you’ll now want to fight enemies, bosses and look through Chests in villages/camps in the Dunley Farmlands region to find the Library Flooring recipes. If you have no luck finding it out in the world, then you can use 75 Scrolls and click discover at the top of the Study and hope you get it as one of your random recipes.

Scrolls can be found in a variety of places, such as drops from enemies or chests from Bandit Camps in the Dunley Farmlands region. However as you progress through the game you can unlock a Paper Press which will craft you one Scroll for 9 Gem Dust and 3 Paper.

Unlocking the Paper Press

The Paper Press is unlocked via the Study which you should have already built by now, then you’ll need to find the recipe out in the wild. After you’ve gotten your hands on the Paper Press Recipe you’ll need to build it which costs 12 Planks and 12 Copper Ingots.

(1 of 2) Change the Flooring to Library Flooring

Change the Flooring to Library Flooring (left), and you’ll be given the bonuses shown at the top. (right)

Once you’re in possession of the Library Flooring, create a medium sized room and have the flooring as Library Flooring which can be found by opening up your build menu by pressing B-Key, then clicking on Castle, Floors, and then Library Flooring should be the eighth one along. This will unlock a bonus for any equipment which is classed as a Tailor. You can see this underneath the equipment in the Build Menu.

Library Room Bonuses

The amount of resources needed to craft these is reduced by 25%, so Scrolls will cost x9 Gem Dust and x3 Paper instead of x12 Gem Dust and x4 Paper.

Library Room Uses

The Library Room can give bonuses to the following types of equipment: Research Desk, Paper Press, Study and Athenaeum.
