Creating a Tailor Room

There are many different room styles you can add into your castle and these will provide unique benefits to the base. The Tailor Room will reduce the resources needed to craft items by 25% and increase the production speed. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary steps to unlocking the Paper Press and Tailor’s Flooring!

In V Rising you can build a different types of rooms which are dedicated to a certain types of equipment and along with it comes certain types of bonuses, such as the time the Loom takes to create Ghost Yarn. However, you’ll need to unlock the Tailor’s Flooring.

Unlocking the Tailor’s Flooring

Your first steps to acquiring the Tailor’s Flooring is to unlock and build a Study which is done by defeating the Level 47 V Blood boss, "Maja the Dark Savant" iconMaja the Dark Savant. Build the Study which requires 12 Wooden "Plank" iconPlanks and 12 "Copper Ingot" iconCopper Ingots, then you’ll now want to fight enemies, bosses and look through Chests in villages/camps in the Dunley Farmlands region to find the Tailor’s Flooring recipes. If you have no luck finding it out in the world, then you can use 75 Scrolls and click discover at the top of the Study and hope you get it as one of your random recipes.

Scrolls can be found in a variety of places, such as drops from enemies or chests from "Bandit Camp" iconBandit Camps in the Dunley Farmlands region. However as you progress through the game you can unlock a "Paper" iconPaper Press which will craft you one Scroll for 12 Planks and 12 Copper Ingots.

Unlocking the Paper Press

The Paper Press is unlocked via the Study which you should have already built by now, then you’ll need to find the recipe out in the wild. After you’ve gotten your hands on the Paper Press Recipe you’ll need to build it which costs 12 Planks and 12 Copper Ingots.

Once you’re in possession of the Tailor’s Flooring, create a medium sized room and have the flooring as Tailor’s Flooring which can be found by opening up your build menu by pressing B-Key, then click on Castle, Floors and Tailor’s Flooring should the fifth one along. This will unlock a bonus for for any equipment which is classed as a Tailor. You can see this underneath the equipment in the Build Menu.

Tailor Room Bonuses

Having a Tailor Room in your Castle in V Rising will increase the production speed of creating a variety of items, such as "Cotton Yarn" iconCotton Yarn, "Ghost Yarn" iconGhost Yarn and "Cloth" iconCloth. Additionally, the amount of resources needed to craft these is reduced by 25%, so cloth will cost 3 "Leather" iconLeather and 9 Plant Fiber instead of 4 Leather and 12 Plant Fiber.

Tailor Room Structures

The Tailor Room can give bonuses to the following types of structures: Tailoring Bench, Tannery and Loom.

Tanney_V_Rising.png Tannery A Workstation used for refining animal hides into leather. The Tannery is used for creating "Pristine Hide" iconPristine Hide which is needed to craft the Dawnthorn Set.
Loom_V_Rising.png Loom A Workstation used for refining fibers into various fabrics. The Loom is used for creating "Ghost Yarn" iconGhost Yarn which is another resource needed to craft the Dawnthorn Set.
