Some of the trophies and achievements in Metaphor: ReFantazio will ask you to do something that is completely different than normal. The Chef in Training trophy/achievement wants you to cook a meal at the inn with Maria’s help. This is an event you can do in Grand Trad, the starting city, but it’s a little unclear how exactly you get Maria to help you with cooking a meal.

The goal of this trophy/achievement is to have Maria help cook at the inn in Grand Trad.

Getting Maria to Help Cook¶

You will almost always find Maria at the Hushed Honeybee Inn in Grand Trad, but for the majority of the first part of the game, you won’t be seeing her too much. Once you set off on your own gauntlet runner after finishing the events in Grand Trad, you’ll be seeing her more, since you can level up her Bond. It should be around this time that you’ll be able to unlock this trophy/achievement, which is very simple to do.

First and foremost, it will need to be night in the game, so when you have free time, head to any activity that will pass the time. This could be something that increases one of your Royal Virtues, or simply ranking up one of your Follower’s Bonds. Whatever the case, once it is night, teleport over to the Hushed Honeybee Inn and go inside. If you see Maria standing near Fabienne, then that’s a good thing. If you don’t see her inside the inn there, then you’ll need to come back on another night.

Whenever she is standing there, speak to Fabienne (should have the icon for Tolerance above her head) and choose to help with the cooking (don’t choose the option for the Bidou Meat dish). If done correctly, Maria will ask to help you, which will unlock the trophy/achievement. It doesn’t matter if you pick the right option here or not for the dish, as that just affects the amount of Tolerance gained.
