The Dragoon is one of the Elite Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio. It is capable of targeting enemy weak points, utilizing various affinities, and vary up attacks with different ballistics.

The Dragoon is a part of the Gunner Lineage and it is the final form. The Dragoon Archetype is tricky to use due to its ranged focus, but the ability to target weak points and cover a variety of affinities isn’t possible with many other Archetypes.

How to unlock the Dragoon Archetype

The Dragoon is unlocked when Neuras’ bond gets to Rank 8. This happens once you hand in all relics complete his Party Thief quest from the Recruitment Center.

You will also need 27,000 MAG and to get the Sniper to Rank 20 and the Magic Knight to Rank 10.

Dragoon Skills

The Dragoon has access to the following skills:

Comeback Victory - [Hero Passive] Recovers HP each time an enemy is stunned or defeated in overworld combat.
Wild Salvo - Only usable from back row. Deals weak physical Pierce damage to all enemies 2-3 times. (24 MP)
Feather Dragoonshot - Only usable from back row. Deals medium magic Electric damage to all enemies 1-3 times. (30 MP)
Redfeather Dragoonshot - Only usable from back row. Deals medium magic Fire damage to all enemies 1-3 times. (30 MP)
Bluefeather Dragoonshot - Only usable from back row. Deals medium magic Ice damage to all enemies 1-3 times. (30 MP)
Long-Range Boost - [Passive] While in the back row, increases Attack of all skills by 10%.
Unshaken Will - [Passive] Prevents Charm, Daze, Forget, Sleep, and Rage.

Dragoroa - Only usable from back row. Deals extreme magic Fire damage to one enemy. May inflict Burn. (14 MP) [Allies needed: Mage, Masked Dancer, or Summoner Lineages]
Coldragoroa - Only usable from back row. Deals extreme magic Ice damage to one enemy. May inflict Frostbite. [Allies needed: Seeker, Mage, or Healer Lineages]
Draco Ray - Only usable from back row. Deals severe magic Light damage to one enemy. Ignores resistances. (28 MP) [Allies needed: Gunner, Faker, or Summoner Lineages]
Bullet Barrage - Only usable from back row. Deals severe physical Pierce damage to one enemy. Ignores resistances. (22 MP) [Allies needed: Knight, Healer, or Commander Lineages]
