The Soul Hacker is one of the Elite Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio. It is focused on Skills that restore MP with each hit, making it useful in extended fights and long dungeons. It is strong to both Wind and Dark magic, while weak to Fire.

The Soul Hacker is a part of the Seeker Lineage and this is the final form available for the Lineage. The Soul Hacker Archetype is a fairly easy to use class like its weaker forms, but you do have a wide variety of Skills and Synthesis Skills the basic and adept forms don’t have.

How to unlock the Soul Hacker Archetype¶

The Soul Hacker is unlocked by reaching Rank 7 with More’s bond and reaching rank 20 with the Magic Seeker. Like when you unlocked the Magic Seeker, you need to complete the requests he gives you in Akademeia. To unlock it you will need a hefty 19,800 MAG.

Soul Hacker Skills¶

The Soul Hacker has access to eight different Skills:

• Chase Support - [Hero Passive] Makes support attacks from your comrades happen more easily in overworld combat.
• Void Wave - Deals heavy magic Wind damage to one enemy. Decreases their attack for 3 turns (26 MP)
• Seeker’s Gale - Deals heavy magic Wind damage to all enemies. Recovers MP for each hit (42 MP)
• Deiamahan - Heavy HP recovery for one ally (18 MP)
• Adventurer’s Curiosity - Increases critical rate for all allies for 3 turns (8 MP)
• Seeker’s Flame - Deals heavy magic Fire damage to all enemies. Recovers MP for each hit (42 MP)
• Heat Riser - Increases attack/defense/hit/evasion for one ally for 3 turns (24 MP)
• Emerald Vortex - Deals extreme magic Wind damage to all enemies. Ignores resistances (46 MP)

As you can see, a lot of these swallow up your MP but do a high amount of damage as a tradeoff. Skills like Seeker’s Gale and Seeker’s Flame do allow you to restore some of it though, which is handy. You can also use your Skill Inheritance to bring across a number of lower-MP-costing Skills to have some flexibility in fights.

Soul Hacker Synthesis Skills¶

The Soul Hacker has access to five different Synthesis Skills:

• Tetrabreak - Negates one enemy’s repel physical skill (18 MP) [Allies needed: Thief, Faker, or Merchant Lineages]
• Soulblade Rider - Deals severe physical Almighty damage to one enemy. Absorbs MP (16 MP) [Allies needed: Knight, Healer, or Commander Lineages]
• Winning Horse - Deals severe physical Strike damage to one enemy (16 MP) [Allies needed: Warrior, Brawler, or Berserker Lineages]
• Cyclone Slasher - Deals severe magic Wind damage to one enemy (22 MP) [First ally needed: Seeker, Mage, or Healer Lineages & Second ally needed: Knight, Healer, or Commander Lineages]
• Trial of the Seeker - Deals extreme magic Almighty damage to all enemies. Recovers MP for each hit (20 MP) [Allies needed: Warrior, Thief, or Masked Dancer Lineages]

As you can see, the Soul Hacker is capable of some incredibly damaging attacks across damage affinities. This makes it great for all-around damage and single-target damage, although Skills like Trial of the Seeker can help with group damage.
