Some of the trophies and achievements in Metaphor: ReFantazio that require you to do some miscellaneous task. The At Your Own Risk trophy/achievement is a bit misleading, as the description asks you to challenge the test of courage at the highest difficulty. This might lead you to think you have to do something on the hardest difficulty, which is only unlockable in New Game+. However, it’s a lot simpler than that, as you only need to perform a specific task three times in one of the towns.

Unlocking the At Your Own Risk Trophy/Achievement¶

Before you can attempt to get this trophy/achievement, you will have to wait until you reach the second town in the main story, Martira. Once you get there and have access to the free time, look for one of the Royal Virtue activities in the Thoroughfare Square area. Specifically, you’re looking for the one that increases Courage, which isn’t too far from the stairs on the northern side of the area. It’s probably in your best interest to save before doing this, as Courage is one of the easiest virtues to max out, and once you have the trophy/achievement, just reload that save.

Time is precious in Metaphor and you don’t really want to waste it on something that isn’t needed much. Either way, speak to the NPC here and pay him to participate in the bungee jump. You don’t have to do anything, nor can you fail the bungee jump, so you will not only get a boost to your Courage, but also receive a Foreign Coin for impressing the NPC. Of course, the price will slightly increase on each successive attempt, but it should be a minor inconvenience.

You will have to do the bungee jump three times in order to unlock the trophy/achievement. This can be done three time slots in a row, if you wish to get it out of the way as soon as possible.
