Metaphor: ReFantazio

Magic Seeker Archetype

By
Echo Apsey

The Magic Seeker is one of the Adept Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio. It is versatile, able to use a variety of attacks across different affinities when using Synthesis Skills. It also has a lot of strengthened Skills that you find on the Seeker. It is weak to Fire damage and resistant to Wind damage.

The Magic Seeker is a part of the Seeker Lineage and investing in it will allow you to unlock its Elite form: the Soul Hacker. The Magic Seeker Archetype is a fairly easy to use class and one of the more basic adept forms as it comes from the game’s base Archetype given to the protagonist early on in the story.

How to unlock the Magic Seeker Archetype

The Magic Seeker is unlocked once you have reached Rank 20 with the Seeker Archetype. Additionally, you will need to level up More’s bond to Rank 3.

This comes naturally throughout the game as you complete the tasks More sets you in Akademeia, so simply try to to complete them as soon as you can. They will require you to obtain other Archetypes. You can then spend a significant amount of MAG to purchase it for your party members.

Magic Seeker Skills

The Magic Seeker has access to seven different Skills:

  • Chase Support - [Hero Passive] Makes support attacks from your comrades happen more easily in overworld combat
  • Cyclo - Deals medium magic Wind damage to one enemy (10 MP)

  • Deiama - Medium HP recovery for one ally (8 MP)
  • Wind Dodge - [Passive] Increases Evasion against Wind attacks
  • Cyclone - Deals heavy magic Wind damage to one enemy (18 MP)
  • Vitalja - Increases attack/defense for one ally by two ranks for 3 turns (20 MP)

As you can see, the Magic Seeker has access to a wide range of skills, many of which are incredibly useful, including Deiama to heal. Tarukaja, Cyclo, Cyclone, and Vitalja all work to boost your damage or boost damage potential for you or an ally, which can be incredibly useful when paired with high damage Skills or Synthesis Skills from other characters in your party.
