When you first arrive to Port Brilehaven in Metaphor: ReFantazio, you won’t be able to fully explore everything. After passing a few story bits, you will finally get access to the full city, which includes side quests. One of the side quests you can get a simple and short one, titled Efflorescent Youth, where a young boy wants to get some flowers for his friend.

Efflorescent Youth Location¶
You won’t be able to do much of anything upon your first arrival in Brilehaven, so it’s best to just stick to the story. Once July 23rd rolls around, though, you will be free and can start getting some side quests. For this one, head over to Seabreeze Street and there will be a child with a marker over his head a little north of the southern end. Speak to him to start the quest.
First, he will ask to be your apprentice, as his friend saw you in the Exhibition and thought you were cool. Obviously, you can’t bring a child along with you, so the next best thing is to get a present for the friend, as they have an upcoming birthday. The boy says he’ll get her flowers, but not from the town, as they are boring. The deadline is August 10th, as that is when the birthday is.

Rainbow Flower Location¶
Thankfully, you won’t need to go searching blindly for the flower for this quest, as Gallica will mention trying St. Fermis Church in Grand Trad. You can teleport straight to the church, so do that and speak with the Sanctor at the front. He mentions that while it’s not a fresh flower, they do sell a handicraft for a Rainbow Flower and it will cost you. It’s not expensive, though, as it simply costs 500 Reeves, so purchase it and then return to the boy to finish the quest.
Efflorescent Youth Rewards¶
For completing this quest, you will receive 4,000 Reeves, as well as a boost to your Tolerance Royal Virtue (four points). Add another side quest to the completion list!
