The Assassin is one of the Adept Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio. It is built with status-inflicting affects in mind, landing insta-kills and inflicting the Hex status to put down the most powerful of enemies.

The Assassin is a part of the Thief Lineage and investing in it will allow you to unlock its Elite form: the Ninja. The Assassin Archetype is a hard to use class, filled with unique attacks and passives.

How to unlock the Assassin Archetype¶

The Assassin Archetype is unlocked the day after the events in Kiregante Castle in Mantira. Here you will speak with Heismay, who will give you the class.

As with other classes, you will also need to reach Rank 20 with the Thief and spend 10,000 MAG to unlock this Archetype.

Assassin Skills¶

The Assassin has access to the following Skills:

• Pickpocket - [Hero Passive] Chance of getting an item each time an enemy is stunned or defeated in overworld combat.
• Lurking Nightblade - Deals medium physical Dark damage to one enemy. Decreases their Hit/Evasion for 3 turns. (16 MP)
• Steal - Steals a rare item from one enemy. (The higher your agility, the higher your success rate) (4 MP)
• Curse Chant - May inflict Hex on all enemies. (8 MP)
• Assassinate - Deals heavy physical Dark damage to one enemy. May one-hit kill target. (16 MP)
• Shadow Dwellers - [Passive] Increases Evasion by 5%. Boost increases further if Archetypes of the same Lineage are present.
• Electric Dodge - [Passive] Increases Evasion against Electric attacks.
• Illusive Dream - Deals weak physical Slash damage to one enemy 1-3 times. Absorbs MP. May one-hit kill target. (20 MP)

Assassin Synthesis Skills¶

The Assassin also has access to the following Synthesis Skills:

• Godkiller - Deals extreme physical Dark damage to one enemy. High chance of one-hit killing target. (14 MP) [Allies needed: Gunner, Masked Dancer, or Berserker Lineages]
• Phantom Tracer - Deals extreme physical Slash damage to one enemy and removes buff effects. (12 MP) [Allies needed: Warrior, Thief, or Masked Dancer Lineages]
