Carry on down the road, along the way you will run into several different enemy types like Killer Bees and Starving Wolves. Along the road you will also be able to pick up a quick side quest called Beast Against Beast, if you don’t feel up to completing it though, you can always return to pick it up later. You will be able to see large windmills when you’re close to Eastpool and will pass a large farm with a road you can follow up to a hill with a . The town is just up ahead of this and when you reach it a cutscene will start to play.
Clive and Jill will run into an old acquaintance named Lady Hanna. She will fill Clive in on her husband Murdoch’s fate and house the two for the night. In the morning, Hanna will give Clive his father’s outfit and sword that she has been keeping in a wardrobe over the years. You will now be free to explore around Eastpool, there are three chests that you will want to go ahead and grab in the area.
- Below a small house on the left side of the town below Hanna’s house has a chest with 10x Spools of Steelsilk
- Near a shed at the upper right part of town is a chest with a Goblin Coin.
How to Complete Back in The Day and Find The Old Bearer¶
You will now want to head to the large door at the north end of town. As you approach it another cutscene will start where the mayor of Eastpool stops you. He will recognize Clive and ask him to speak with a Branded who has remained fiercely loyal to his family, as he used to work in the kitchen. Clive will be told to check by the town well to find and speak with the man. Head south back into town towards the well with a marker, and you will quickly learn that he isn’t there. Next, you will speak to a man who is sweeping nearby, he will send you to another villager who is working with hay. She will tell you to speak with the Chocobo Keeper who has taken the man under his wing.
The Chocobokeeper is next to the bridge that you used to enter Eastwood, speak with him to learn that the man has wandered outside of town. At this point, you need to cross the bridge and take the road up by the farm. Don’t forget to check by the farmhouse as there is a chest with Bloody Hides. You will go up a small hill towards where the Aevis usually is and spot the old man looking out from the cliff. As you approach him enemies will begin to attack. You will need to defeat a few Mud Dauber and some Worgen, you will get a few items including a Meteorite for your trouble. Afterward, a cutscene will play where you speak to the man.
After speaking with the mayor again, you will want to head back to the large wooden gate and push it open, you are now embarking on the path towards Phoenix Gate.
There are no enemies to fight here, you only have to walk the Blight stricken path forward. Once you get to the Obelisk, you will go back to the world map and be able to start the next quest, Buried Memories.
