Once Jill has woken up, after The Hunter and The Hunted, you will head back to your home region of 
The Grand Duchy of Rosaria. This is an easy journey, but things have changed a lot since Clide, Jill, and 
Torgal last lived here. Your job is to make your way to 
Martha’s Rest and then help her out with a couple of tasks until the bridge repair to go further into the region is complete. The guide below goes over the fourteenth main story quest, 
Homecoming, how to find Martha’s Rest, where the Carpenter is, and how to find 
Glaidemond Abbey in Final Fantasy XVI.

Finding Martha’s Rest in The The Grand Duchy of Rosaria¶
You will walk down a peaceful road for most of your time around in 
Three Reeds. You can veer off the road to fight the enemies listed above or head straight for Martha’s Rest by simply following the road. Along your way, you will even run into a crashed cart and an NPC that will give you the short side quest, What a Bird Wants. Beside the cart you will see some ruins, going left and following the destroyed houses around will bring you to a Gigas and a couple of Goblins, and a chest with 10x Sharp Fangs.
Continue further down the road until you are at the path up into town and take a left to find another dilapidated house and some Padfoots, here you will find another chest with 10x Bloody Hides. Once you’re done here, head up the stairs, there are three chests in town you will want to grab before going to Martha’s Rest.
- The first is located on the deck up the first set of stairs tucked in a corner, it has 10x Chunks of Wyrite.
- Once you get to the top of town take a right up the stairs, follow the road all the way back and then check the alley on the left side for a chest with the Forevermore Orchestrion Roll and a Goblin Coin.
- The final chest can be reached by following the road left from the chest to an ally on the other side to receive Goblin Coin.
Once this is done go into the Inn, 
Martha is at the counter and will give you your next objective, finding a lost carpenter.

How to Fix The Bridge and Find The Carpenter in Building Bridges¶
Once you exit the inn during 
Building Bridges, follow the quest marker to a ladder and proceed down it, you should be able to see the Carpenter stuck on a rock surrounded by enemies. Keep proceeding down until you can get to him. You will need to defeat the three Crab Claws. This is an easy task, and as soon as you’re done you can return to Martha to get her next mission. This time, you overhear a woman talking happily about getting rid of her baby, this leads Martha to send you to a nearby church to deliver some medicine.

Where to Go For A Bearer’s Lot¶
Once you leave the building during A Bearer’s Lot, follow the quest marker to the wooden elevator and descend. You will now be on the road to Glaidemond Abbey. You can choose to engage with the enemies along the way or not fight and just make your way to the church at the end of the path.

Once you are there, you will get more info about Bearer’s fate, and be given a message for Martha. Return to her once more and you will learn that the bridge is fixed and will start the quest Holding On.
