The Plaything side quest in Final Fantasy 16 can be acquired at the Royal Meadows once you reach The Dame main quest. Here you’ll find a person named Lisette and she’ll ask you to look for her pet. We’ll take you through the necessary steps to completion and to finding the Chloe.
Speak with Lisette to begin this quest.
A girl in Moore asks Clive to help her find her pet Chloe. Apparently, she has beautiful white hair, and is “ever such a good girl.”
How to Start The Plaything Side Quest in FF16¶
Before you can begin the “Plaything” Side Quest you’ll need to progress through the game until you reach the Hideaway which should take you around 3 hours if you’re starting from the beginning. For those continuing on from the demo, then it should take you an extra hour. From this point, you’ll need to play for a few more hours until you reach the Main Quest The Dame. Here you’ll want to speak with Lisette who can be found standing outside 
Moore in the Royal Meadows Sub-Region to begin this quest.
Where to Find Chloe in Final Fantasy 16¶
You’ll be tasked with finding Chloe, who is Lisette’s pet, so follow the path down and speak with the Fastidious Farmwife to see if she has any information on the pets whereabouts. She mentions that she last saw it around the windmill, so you’ll want to go over to the windmill which is located to the southwest. However, before you do so, be sure to explore the surrounding area for any Chests as they’ll contain useful items, such as Accessories and Crafting Materials.

When you arrive at the windmill, interact with the dog and it’ll point you in the direction of a person who seems to be sleeping. Inspect the body and Lisette will appear and you’ll discover that her pet was unfortunately a bearer which has now died due to the Crystals Curse. Here Clive will educate her on what her actions are doing and the quest will come to a close and you’ll be rewarded with x30 
Magicked Ash which is a useful crafting material.
