This is a guide for the “For Great Justice” Side Quest in Final Fantasy XVI. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding the shadowy figure.
Speak with Quinten to begin this quest.
Quinten tells Clive that he has heard worrying rumors of late - tales of shadowy figures seen lurking in the woods around 
Lostwing. Clive sets out to investigate.
How to Start The For Great Justice Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16¶
First things first, you’ll need to have completed the main story mission Into the Darkness, and be on Out of the Shadows. When those requirements have been met, head over to Quinten who can be found in 
The Hanged Man Inn which is located in the Lostwing sub-region of 
The Holy Empire of Sanbreque. Speak with him and you’ll discover that there has been sightings of people outside the village and the residents are getting worried, so he has requested you look into it to put everyone’s mind at ease.
Where To Find The Shadowy Figure¶
Once you’ve finished speaking with Quinten, open up you’ll map and you’ll three green circles in the east, south and west sections of Lostwing, so head over to the eastern side first and speak with the Herbmother, then make your way over to Laubert’s Path which is located to the south via Cutter’s Gate. Eventually, 
Torgal will spot something and three Blackshields will appear.

They are regular enemies, so they don’t have too much health, so you’ll want to try and group them up and make use of your AoE Attacks, such as 
Heatwave and 
Aerial Blast to take them down quickly. You won’t be facing any bosses in this quest, so if your 
Limit Break is available feel free to use it to deal some extra damage. After you’ve cleared out the enemies, return to Quinten to bring the quest to a close and you’ll be rewarded with 
Wyrrite x50, 
Sharp Fang x50 and 
Black Blood x1.
