The Laid to Rest side quest in Final Fantasy 16 can be acquired at The Mother’s Mines once you reach the Brotherhood main quest. Here you’ll find the NPC Wounded Royalist. He’ll mention that he is dying due to the aether and he requests that you grant his final wish by placing his Ring next to his parents grave. We’ll take you through the necessary steps to completion and how to find the parents grave.
Speak with the Wounded Royalist to begin this quest.
A dying soldier on the road to Stonhyrr asks Clive to deliver him to his parents’ final resting place. The request is made, he expires, hopeful that his soul might find peace at last.
How to Start the Laid to Rest Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16¶
First things first, you’ll need to have completed the main story The Last King, and be on Brotherhood. When those requirements have been met, head over to the Wounded Royalist who can be found sitting on the road in The Mothers’ Mine in the 
The Kingdom of Waloed Region. Speak with him and he’ll request that you take his Tarnished Ring and place it beside his parents graves, so that he can be be with them in death.
Where to Find the Parents Grave¶
Once you’ve finished speaking with Royalist, head over to the western portion of the map until you reach The Angry Gap sub-region as you’ll find The Hand of Rhea Chronolith Trial. Visit out page on How to Complete the Shiva Trial by Ice Chronolith Trial here, then you’ll be rewarded with the Will of Ice (
Diamond Dust), a powerful Accessory that increases the damage of it by 10%. This will make taking the elite enemies easier in the quests to come.

When you’re finished with the trial, fast travel to the 
Ravenwit Walls 
Obelisk and head over to the northwest corner of the Kritten Hollow sub-region. Here you’ll find the grave sitting on the cliff edge, so interact with it to bury the ring and the the quest will come to a close and you’ll be rewarded with 
Clutchmine x20 and 
Meteorite x1.
Other Side Quests in The Kingdom of Waloed¶
As you’re playing through the Main Quest you’ll find more Side Quests pop up in the various regions. However, Laid to Rest is the only side quest available in The Kingdom of Waloed.
