Complete the quest “Precious Cargo” then return to civilization, whereupon you should get a notification from Suvi that you have a missed call. Or, if you return directly to the Tempest you may be notified you have a new e-mail. Whatever the case, check your e-mail to find the message “Call me”, left by everybody’s favorite smuggler, Reyes Vidal. After reading the e-mail, head over to the Vidcon and contact Reyes, who will invite you to a little shindig being thrown by Sloane. A party being thrown by a blood-thirsty warlord who is locked in a bitter struggle with an anonymous mercenary company, xenophobic squid-faced aliens, and forced-collectivist tonsilithic borg? Bah, never mind that, free beer!

After helping Reyes with his Zia problem, he’ll make another invitation via vidcon (left). Join him at Sloane’s party and he’ll quickly excuse himself (right).

Return to Kadara Port and enter the Outcast Headquarters, where, after a snafu with the doorman you’ll be rescued by Reyes. Shame that the human Pathfinder can only get into Sloane’s little party as the arm-candy of a smuggler. That’s an intentional snub if ever there was one. Once in the party Reyes will be bothered by an Angaran named Keeme Dohrgun, who will chatter a bit before Reyes excuses himself.

When you’re left to your own devices, you’ll be tasked with mingling. Specifically, talk to three key party-goers including Sloane Kelly, Kaelus and Keema Dohrgun, who all waste your time with pointless chatter. You can also busy yourself by helping an indecisive gambler bet his money (evens wins, odds loses) and by giving relationship advice to a foolish Turian.

After you’re done messing around with your three key mingles, be sure to ask Keema where Reyes ran off to (failing that, SAM will tell you where to look). Seems like Reyes isn’t just here for the festivities and the rubbing of elbows. Leave Sloane’s boring, dead party and go through a door to the east to find Reyes poking around some of the Outcast’s cargo. Confront Reyes and he’ll start spinning excuses, after which you’ll get a rare chance to perform an [R2]/[RB] interrupt of the PDA variety. After the approaching guard embarrassingly excuses themselves, finish the conversation with Reyes however you wish. He’ll heroically liberate a choice bit of Sloane’s treasure, after which you can share the spoils, bare you inner thoughts… it’s basically a character-building quest. Still, for enduring it you’ll earn 270 XP.
