Task - Broken Wires

Nathan Garvin

Another quest can be found in the Docking Bay area, this time on the upper floor. Turn east from Vortex to find some ramps leading up to the upper part of hydroponics, where you’ll find Shapiro busily fussing over one of the hydroponics machines. Chat with him to learn that there’s been power issues around the area, and while Shapiro thinks such business might be beneath the concern of a Pathfinder, the XP rewards at the end of the mission beg to differ.

Shapiro is having a bit of a electrical problem, which he'll ultimately draw the Pathfinder into (left). Scan malfunctioning equipment to learn about the cause of the malfunctions (right).

Accept the quest, then make your way to the Tech Lab and scan a wall to the east to find some Damaged Equipment. Next head to the Cultural Exchange and scan the desk in the northwestern corner of the room to find a second unit of Damaged Equipment. Finally, take the tram to the Operations level and search the northeastern end of Kesh’s office to find an alien critter, whose peculiar nesting habits have been causing the electrical problems. Scan it, then examine it, after which you’ll get to decide the poor bug’s fate. After the threat has been taken care of you’ll get an unduly large XP bonus… for such a trivial task, anyways.

Find an alien bug in Kesh's office (left) then decide what to do with the passive, nesting critter (right).
