Task - Hitting Rocks for Science (Eos)

By
Nathan Garvin

You’ll start this quest by talking to Chief Lucan on the Operations level of the Nexus. Below are the three mineral deposits you can scan on Eos.

  • The first one is along the northeastern end of The Golden Wastes, although high radiation will initially stop you from scanning it. When the radiation levels drop (after visiting Aya for the first time) search a depression northeast of a Remnant structure to find and scan a Cadmium Sample.

An Element Zero Sample can be found near the Sawtooth Plateau Forward Station (left), while a Vanadium Sample can be found in the Presson Dunes (right).

  • Just northwest of the Sawtooth Plateau Forward Station you’ll find some large rocks, nestled in between which you can scan an Element Zero Sample.
  • Northwest of the Forward Station along the eastern edge of the Presson Dunes you’ll find the navpoint for this mineral deposit, which is north, northeast of a Mining Zone map icon. Search amongst some rocks to find a Vanadium Sample tucked away.
