Straw is one of the various materials needed for some end-game crafts in Enshrouded. You’ll need this material if you plan on making the Beehive for your Honey requirements as part of the final Farmer quest. It is something worth looking into as it is ideal for healing and stamina regen items. With that said, we’ll get stuck into showing you the perfect way to get Straw in Enshrouded.
Straw is harvested alongside Wheat farms in Bounty Barn or on your own plots of land.
Where to Get Straw in Enshrouded¶
The best place to get Straw in Enshrouded is by going to Bounty Barn, which has a farm bed with various Wheat Grains planted. By harvesting the crop, you will earn yourself Wheat Grains, which can be used to make Flour. In addition, you will get more Straw from harvesting the crop, which you can now use in your buildings.
You can find a great source of Flour and Straw in the the Bounty Barn location, which can be found here in the game map, east of Umber Hollow.
The other major thing you need to know is that Straw can also be found in various Farming POI destructible props in the Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes. Look for the bundles of Straw, marked by their long yellow bushes or bundles. It is likely you will get Straw from these, so long as you’re not smashing up Plant Fiber sources by mistake.
If you want a more reliable and efficient way of getting Straw in Enshrouded, we strongly advise creating Wheat Seeds. You will need Water, Wheat Grains and Fossilized Bone Dust to create Wheat Seeds. Plant them in your Farmbeds, either on basic Farm Soil or Fertilized Farmsoil, and watch as your farms grow tall with Wheat. Gather as much Straw as you wish using this method, and continue to plant your Wheat Seeds to ensure you have all the Straw you need for your base-building project. Crafting Wheat is generally decent for various meals too, so you won’t be wasting your time. You’ll be able to make Meat Wraps, providing 5 Constitution and 1 Intelligence food for battle mage builds, alongside Flatbread, which gives 5 Strength for any warrior or two-handed dps build.
