One of the side activities you can do in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is temples, which are important because of the Knowledge Points they bestow upon completing them. These are needed in order to reach the higher tiers of the skill trees, so you won’t be able to get stronger without them. In order to complete the temples, you have to find all of the Lost Pages, simple collectibles hidden around each of the temple. This page will detail where to find all of the Lost Pages at the Byodoin Temple.
Byodoin Temple is found in the northern area of Ogura Pond.
Byodoin Temple Location¶
Byodoin Temple is located in the Yamashiro Region, which is north of Izumi Settsu, the region where you start in the open world. If you have the Takatsuki Kakurega in the northern part of Izumi Settsu, that’s a great place to start, since it’s right on the border to Yamashiro. From there, head straight north, along the coastline, until you reach Oyamazaki Village. Directly easy of that village is a sub-region called Ogura Pond. Byodoin Temple is found on the northern end of the sub-region. Note that you’ll be forced to visit the temple when going after The Fool, so if you wait until later, you’ll automatically discover it.
Byodoin Temple has two Lost Pages to find, with one being pretty easy to locate and the other being a little harder. Remember that you can use Observe (L2/LT) to look around for any white dots while in the vicinity of the temple. These white dots are where you’ll find the Lost Pages, but the range is a little limited, so you won’t see them from too far away. Reminder that you can get these Lost Pages in any order.
Byodoin Temple Lost Page 1 Location¶
From the main building of the temple, swim across the waters to the northern shore. At the northern point, you should notice a little pavilion, so go to it. As you get closer, you will see the scroll icon appear on your compass, and it will be sitting on the railing.

Byodoin Temple Lost Page 2 Location¶
This Lost Page can be a little tricky to find, especially if you’re searching for it on ground level. If you grab the previous one first, head straight south and then look at the top of the temple’s building with Observe. You should see the white dot up there, meaning the Lost Page is there. To get to the roof, approach the corner of the building and use Naoe’s grappling hook to latch onto the low point of the roof. Climb up, then do the same to get to the top, where you can easily grab the Lost Page.
