Some of the side quests in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will introduce you to a NPC that can be recruited as an ally. One of those people is Oni-yuri, a woman accused of poisoning some thugs out in the Wakasa region. There will be two quests associated with her and considering it’s in the Wakasa region, you might need to wait until you’ve leveled up some yourself. This page will detail the first quest for Oni-yuri, titled Sweet Lies.
(1 of 2) You’ll find this quest in the Wakasa region, in the Sotomo Gate sub-region.

Sweet Lies Location¶
You will unlock this quest once you reach the second act in the game, when you have fully unlocked Yasuke as a playable character. Once you have, you’ll have to take the long journey up north, to the Wakasa region. The enemies in this region will tend to have a lower level limit of 28-29, so it can be dangerous if you make the trek here at your earliest opportunity. When you feel you are ready, though, you’ll be going to the northern end of Wakasa, to the Sotomo Gate sub-region.
You should come across a town there, named Tsuruga, which means you’re in the right place. In the northern part of the area is the Tsuruga Sea Port, and you should find this quest a little east of it. If you see a crowd gathering around, then that’s the spot. Interact with the group to learn that some thugs seem to be feeling sick after eating some of the food prepared by Oni-yuri. He feels that she poisoned them and wants her to be punished.
During the course of this conversation, you will have a dialog choice, so you’ll want to be a little safe on answering this. For the first one, pick There is no evidence. After that, there is more talking, then you’ll be able to do some investigating on whether she poisoned the men or not.

Sweet Lies - Find the poisoned food¶
Your goal now is to find the poisoned food and you won’t have to go very far to find it. As soon as you regain control, head east down the road and use your Observe until you see a group of four blue dots. That is where you’ll need to go to find the poisoned food. The first item you need to examine is in the front building, with another two objects in the building in the back. For the final item, exit the back building via the rear door to find it right beyond the door.
After investigating all four objects, return to where you first found Oni-yuri. When presented with a choice, pick the one that reads There is still no evidence. This will pretty much bring this quest to a close, and allow the next one to begin, called Sweet Revenge.
