With two of the Shinbakufu now dead and Yasuke joining forces with Naoe, it’s time to turn the attention to the rest of them. A number of different options open up for you at this point for the Shinbakufu, with one of them being The Fool. Your goal in this mission is to meet up with Ise Sadatame, who might have some information on the Shinbakufu.
You’ll need to travel to Byodoin Temple to track down Ise Sadatame.
Where to Find Byodoin Temple¶
The in-game clues mention that Ise Sadatame is found in the Yamashiro Region, which is north of Izumi Settsu. To be more specific, he is in the northern part of the Ogura Pond sub-region, at the Byodoin Temple. If you haven’t discovered this landmark yet, then it shouldn’t take you too long to get there. It’s found on the southern end of Yamashiro, not too far from the northern end of Izumi Settsu. Since you should have the Amagasaki region unlocked, go there and then head northeast to the Takatsuki sub-region.
From there, you can follow the road just outside the Kakurega to the north, following the coastline. It won’t take long to enter the Yamashiro Region, but you still just want to keep chugging along the coastline, until you reach Oyamazaki Village. Upon reaching that village, you can simply head east across the river to reach Ogura Pond. Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine will be straight ahead, so find the road leading up to it, then follow it east and then northeast. This will hopefully bring you to Byodoin Temple, or close enough that you see the question mark on the map for it.

Meet Ise Sadatame¶
Byodoin Temple is a location that has Lost Pages, but those won’t be discussed here. If you wish to get some help finding them, check out the Byodoin Temple Lost Pages guide. Your goal here is to meet with Ise Sadatame, who isn’t far from the entrance you likely used to get to the temple. He is found sitting down in front of a building on the southern end of the temple’s grounds. Approach him to get a map marker over his head, then simply speak to Sadatame to get the conversation rolling about his brother, Ise Sadaoki.
That’s pretty much the mission here, since all you do is just talk to Sadatame about his brother. There is a choice here when he asks you what you think about his brother, although either answer won’t affect anything. This will set up two new missions, Missing Missive and Inside Help, both of which need to be done to get the last quest in this chain.
