Perhaps, on the other hand, you just fancy going on a murderous rampage with Yasuke with no concern for your status. Fret not, there is a way in Assassin’s Creed Shadows to reset the Wanted Alert so you can begin your next hunt without the fear of Guardians tracking you down, you can remove the Wanted Alert with Scouts so keep reading to learn all about it.

The Wanted Alert will cause Guardians to hunt you down in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

What is the Wanted Alert?

Before we even get started on how to clear this status, you may be asking yourself what the Wanted Alert even is, after all, if you’re careful enough, it’s possible you may not encounter this for quite a while. The Wanted Alert becomes active when you’ve been spotted in a restricted area and causes Guardians to attack you on sight. That’s the short of it, anyhow, but the actual effects of the Wanted Alert can be found below:

  • Guardians will spawn and be on the lookout for Yasuke or Naoe, these are tough enemies that are usually higher level than the region the alert is active in.

  • Regular enemies will attack the Wanted protagonist on site, this makes infiltrations much tougher in that region.

All said and done, the Wanted Alert is something you’re going to want to get rid of as soon as possible if you’re unfortunate enough to trigger it, and while it may be unclear at the start of the journey how to remove it, there are multiple methods, some of which will make the Wanted system an afterthought if you really want it to be.

Clearing the Wanted Alert

So now that you know about the Wanted Alert, you may want to know how you go about removing or ignoring it during gameplay and you’ll be pleased to know there are several methods for doing so. You’ll find these below:

  • Waiting for the passing of a season: The most common way of having a Wanted Alert pass is by waiting for a season transition. Whenever this happens, the Wanted Alert will be cleared for any regions it’s currently active in.

  • Change characters: This won’t remove the Wanted Alert exactly, but it’s important to know that Wanted Alerts are only active on the character that was spotted. That means you can simply swap to the other character until the season transitions and clear it that way.

  • Use Scouts to manually remove it: This is by far the most effective method of removing the Wanted Alert, letting you do it whenever you have a Scout available (that you can replenish for Mon at the Hideout or a Kakurega). This requires some prep work before you can make use of it (see below).

(1 of 3) Head to the Hideout and upgrade the Kakurega to Rank 2.

Using Scouts to Remove Wanted Alert

In order for you to use this feature, you must first return to your Hideout and upgrade the Kakurega to Rank 2, this will cost you 580 Crops, 440 Wood, and 150 Minerals. This is a hefty investment, so be sure to make use of seasonal contracts that provide a nice boost of those materials, there will always be one of them available upon a refresh of the season. Once you’ve gathered the necessary materials, go ahead and upgrade the Rank of the Kakurega to 2, the main requirement for this feature.

At this point, you may assume that you need to go to a Kakurega to access the feature to remove the Wanted Alert, but fortunately, this step is not needed. All you need to do now is to open the map and hover over a region with a Wanted Alert and hold the necessary button (check at the bottom right of the screen) to clear it at the cost of two Scouts. Remember, should you be running short on Scouts, you can replenish them by heading to a Kakurega and paying some Mon.

There you have it; you now know everything there is to know about the Wanted Alert in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the many ways you can remove it, including making use of Scouts to do it for you.
