All Hidden Trail Locations - Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As you scour Japan in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll run into Hidden Trails. These challenges for Naoe’s parkour skills can net you knowledge points, XP, and strong gear for taking down the game’s main villains. They are indicated by question marks that turn into orange trail icons as you approach. The trails can be completed by following the yellow paint markers along them. Read on for details on all 10 Hidden Trail Locations and their rewards in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Path of Valor

Location Senri Hills, Izumi Settsu
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Tamakichi’s Hood Epic Headgear

The first Hidden Trail can be found in the Senri Hills. It’s to the north of the fast travel point here if you’ve already unlocked it. Once you navigate its platforming challenge, you’ll get Tamakichi’s Hood.

Path of the Brave

Location Eagle’s Nest, Yamashiro
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Hibiki’s Gear Epic Light Armor

The next one is right under the Eagle’s Nest in Yamashiro on the map menu. Clear its challenge to get Hibiki’s Gear, Epic Light Armor that will come in handy when foes surround Naoe.

Path of the Blade

Location Azuchi, Omi
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Sumire’s Gear Epic Light Armor

The third one can be found to the east of the Taga Shipyard in Azuchi, Omi. While the main story will lead you here, you can head here directly before that as well. Succeed in the trail to get Sumire’s Gear.

Path of Shadows

Location Nabari Wilds, Iga
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Yo-no-shin’s Gear Epic Light Armor

The next one will have you heading to Iga, Naoe’s home. Get to Nabari Wilds’ southernmost area and clear the Path of Shadows for Yo-no-shin’s Gear.

Path of Peril

Location Mount Kasagata, Harima
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Toxic Kusarigama of Malice Epic Kusarigama

The Path of Peril can be found in the Harima province. Don’t worry about the level restrictions as it is still a platforming challenge with zero combat. Clear it at the west side of Mount Kasagata to get the Toxic Kusarigama of Malice. Its attacks are particularly helpful against crowds of foes.

Path of Secrets

Location Katsuragi, Yamato
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Sumire’s Hood Epic Headgear

The next Hidden Trail will have you scouring the Katsuragi area at Yamato. It’s to the east of your main hideout. Find the final chest to get Sumire’s Hood.

Path of Serenity

Location Yoshino, Yamato
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Crimson Tanto of Harm Epic Tanto

The Path of Serenity, despite its high level requirement, can be found early on in the game. Head over to Yoshino in the Yamato province for a chance to get the Crimson Tanto of Harm. Remember that you’ll need to equip a Tanto to perform double assassinations once you’ve unlocked the respective skill.

Path of Wisdom

Location Mount Uchinakao, Wakasa
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Tamakichi’s Gear Epic Light Armor

Head to Mount Uchinakao in Wakasa for a shot at the Path of Wisdom. It’s usually covered in snow even if it isn’t winter in-game. Clearing it will grant you Tamakichi’s Gear.

Path of the Chosen

Location Iseji Trails, Kii
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Yo-no-shin’s Hood Epic Headgear

This one presents a unique challenge at the end of your parkour test. You can find this challenge at the eastern border of the Kii province. The Path of the Chosen will throw a high-level miniboss at you as you approach the chest in Iseji Trails. Either defeat them or sneak past the foe to loot the chest and get Yo-no-shin’s Hood.

Path of Silence

Location Tamba Highlands, Tamba
Rewards 1000 XP, 1 Knowledge Point, Hibiki’s Hood Epic Headgear

The final Hidden Trail can be found in the Tamba province. Visit the Tamba Highlands and you’ll spot the Path of Silence. Clear it to obtain Hibiki’s Hood. That wraps up all the 10 Hidden Trail locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
