Yamashiro will become explorable as Naoe after you finished the short prologue in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This will allow you to freely explore the region and undertake some of the many activities there, such as Paintings. Read on to find out where the two paintings in Yamashiro are located!
Where to Find All Kano Paintings in Yamashiro¶
There isn’t much purpose to the Kano Painting but they are needed to complete the Art Collector Side Quest which will become available when you visit the Yamashiro Region. Yamashiro has two Kano Paintings to track down and steal!
Nijo Palace Kano Painting Location¶
(1 of 2) Head to Nijo Palace
Head to Nijo Palace (left), to find the Kano Painting to the northeast of the viewpoint (right)
The first Kano Painting can be found by heading to Nijo Palace which is located in the center of the region and then sneaking into the building to the northeast of the Nijo Tenshu Viewpoint.
Shoryuji Castle Kano Painting Location¶

Head to Shoryuji Castle (left), to find the kano painting to the northeast of the viewpoint. (right)
The second Kano Painting can be found by heading to Shoryuji Castle which is located in the southwest of the region and then sneaking to the northeast of the Shoryuji Tenshu Viewpoint.
